THE PICTURESQUE TOWN: MARATEA

calabria-2012-199

I don’t need a lot of words for this post. MARATEA (Potenza – Basilicata) is a town you absolutely need to visit. It’s a lovely, lovely small and picturesque town with many narrow streets, lots of nice art shops and restaurants and an amazing view over the sea and mountains. Never dull and enough people who visit it during the summer; it’s just alive!!!

Maratea is located at 300 masl and has little over 5000 residents.

Find out where Maratea is located:

See my post http://dutchgoesitalian.com/2012/07/22/1101/. It’s just above the pizzeria on the map!

We need a lifetime to see only a part of the world….that’s the beauty of this blogging-world…you get to see things that you might or might not visit ;)
