Number 3 in my top 5 of most beautiful beaches in and around Praia A Mare is : La Spiaggia Marina di Maratea (Maratea – Basilicata). To be honest this was my absolute number 1 back in 2010, but then I hadn’t seen L’Arco Magno and Spiaggia Grotta della Scala in Aquafredda yet…
If you arrive at the train station of Marina di Maratea and you follow the sign Spiaggia you will go to the paid parking. If you go to the left instead of following the sign you can park your car for free! From the paid parking you have 2 options: on your right you will go to the following beach:
On the left side you have also a stunning beach:
If you stay untill sunset you will also have such a romantic view from here:
